Food Pantry Hours:
Wednesday afternoons, from 1:30 p.m. while the food lasts, usually for about the next 1-1/2 to 2 hours. We ask that recipients wait outside the door for one of our friendly staff and volunteers to bring a box of food out to you.
This food is offered free of charge to those in our community who need it. It is a violation of our rules to sell food received from the CCC Food Pantry; violators will be barred from receiving any further food from CCC. We encourage all community members to protect yourself and others by practicing good physical distancing, keeping 6 feet of distance between yourself and others. Together, we will get through this crisis!
How the CCC Food pantry started:
About a year or so ago, a volunteer approached the Community Center with an offer of regular food donations. Since then, we have been operating a small Food Pantry on Wednesday afternoons. Now, with so many people out of work due to the Covid-19 crisis, we have seen the need spike. We are working to enhance our Food Pantry program to make the hours more regular and to better match the available food with the community’s need.
